Darlington Photography – On The Beach

Every photographer that I know loves their gadgets. I’ve never known a photographer who’s not obsessed in some way with technology. I’m no exception. Last week I purchased a few new lenses, one of which was a 35mm f2. It’s not an expensive lens and it’s certainly not new, but it rocks! We went to the beach at the weekend and after some fabulous fish and chips in Saltburn I put the lens through a quick test. The Girl was my model - A run on the beach, a snack in the cafe and then back home for some drawing and colouring. It’s all here below:

To The Beach! Lets Go! : Darlington Photography

Well, last week was glorious, the temperatures hit 22 or 23 degrees. Marvellous! Yesterday (Saturday) was a different matter – freezing. However, we were determined to go to the beach. Plus, it gave me a chance to test out my new 85mm lens!

We spent about 10 minutes on the beach then went home! Brrrrr.

These were taken last August Bank Holiday Sunday – my Mums 60th Birthday, for one reason or another I’ve never got round to blogging them. I managed to shoot quite a few shots despite having photographed two 10 hour weddings on the two previous days! It was a superb family and friends get-together, I met up with people who I’d not seen for over 20 years.
